Amazon : The Seattle-based e-retail giant continues to grow and develop in India

Amazon again expanded its business, now Amazon has opened its largest campus in Hyderabad, India. The country with the most population is one of the target markets for Amazon online shopping company. Amzone growth is indeed very fast. This newest campus stands on 9.5 hectares of land with 1.8 million square feet of office space. The campus is able to accommodate more than 15,000 employees.

As Amazon India's senior VP and state manager Amit Agarwal said "This is also the largest technology base outside Seattle," and this is also an Amazon-owned campus outside the US.

The Seattle-based e-retail giant continues to grow and develop in India along with Walmart's Flipkart rival. Amazon has allocated $ 5.5 billion to fund expansion in India.


Amazon started operations in India from Hyderabad in 2004, but its retail store did not start until 2013. Amazon also serves in the field of food delivery to restaurants.

Since then, the company has added video streaming and food delivery services as part of the Prime offering.
The move came a few months after the Seattle-based company canceled plans to build a outpost in New York and charged local opposition leaders.
 

Amazon chose Arlington, Virginia as the location for the upcoming second site.


The opening of the campus follows the collapse of HQ2, which was proposed earlier this year in New York City. Continuation of the HQ2 plan in Arlington, Virginia. The aim is to employ 25,000 people there as well as the New York base.
